Designed by Judy Smilow in 1985, The Dots Plates are American-made of hand-bent glass with a frosted dot and dash pattern. The Dots and Dashes Plate Set was first sold in the Museum of Modern Art’s gift shop (1988-1991) and are part of the Yale University Art Gallery’s permanent collection (acq. 2012) , the Brooklyn Museum’s permanent collection (acq. 2000), and the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum’s permanent collection (acq. 1987). The Dots and Dashes collection was reissued under Smilow Glass in 2013.
