Helene Safire

Helene began her career as a metalsmith, but a visit to the flameworking studio at the Penland School of Crafts in the 90s inspired her to begin working in glass. She makes her ornate geometric jewelry using stringers and carefully cut sheet glass, which are secured in sterling silver settings. Helene currently works out of her studio in Rockville, Maryland.
