Anna Boothe
Anna is a glass caster and pate de verre artist with 35 plus years’ experience and has been a frequent visiting instructor at UrbanGlass since 1989. On view at Urban Glass/Ware, her unique “talismans” and Give ‘Em a Hand beads are made of kiln-cast lead crystal elements, fabricated using the lost-wax casting method.
Notably as a first-time exhibitor, she won Excellence in Glass and Best Display awards at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, American Craft Council (Baltimore) and Smithsonian Craft Shows.
Anna holds degrees in Sculpture from RISD and in Glass from Tyler School of Art where she taught for 16 years, after which she was invited to develop and chair Salem Community College’s (NJ) Glass Art Program. She is a Past President of the Glass Art Society and former Director of Glass at the National Liberty Museum. Currently, as a full-time artist, she maintains her business Pate de Verity from her studio outside of Philadelphia.
