Verre is the French word for glass. Julie believes that simple is elegant and less is more. She primarily works using the technique of flameworking, where glass rods are melted with a 2,000 degree torch.

In these mobiles, beads of hot glass are applied to brass wire at such a high temperature that the two materials become fused together.
