Kathryn Kirk Murphy

Kathryn is a mixed media artist who often uses mirrors in her work to distort and confront reflection. She received her BFA from Temple University (2014) and her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University (2018), where her work was selected as the cover of the MFA Thesis Exhibition Catalog. Kathryn grew up in the Philadelphia area, and currently lives in Norfolk, VA where she enjoys spending time in her vegetable garden.

Her jewelry collection is made by cutting and carving mirrors by hand, using diamond embedded tools. Each beveled edge is brought to a satin finish.
